This certification information contains information on Client JDK and Browser versions.

Infrastructure Certifications:

The specified versions of the existing Oracle Databases (running on the same platforms as Oracle Application Server) can be used as Metadata Repository. If you want to view the platform certification, select the appropriate platform.

Customer Database Tier Certifications

Certification information on the customer database Oracle Application Server is certified with, is under the Server Column.

JDK Information:

In general, Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4, 10.1.2.x and 10.1.3.x) support using JDK extensions higher than one the product originally shipped with. For example on 9.0.4, it is possible to move from JDK 1.3.1_06 to extension JDK 1.3.1_07 or beyond. Please visit CERTIFY Matrix to see the versions of JDK supported on each platform.
If you want to use different JDK versions (example: 1.3.x to 1.4.x) or JDK providers (example: Sun JDK 1.3.x to BEA JRockit) than what is shipped with the application server, please visit CERTIFY Matrix and check the JDK certification information to ensure Oracle supports this configuration. JDK switching is ONLY supported post install.

Oracle Application Server Certification with Oracle JDBC Drivers:

O/S Patch Set Information:

The specified O/S patch or patchset information in each platform is the minimum sets which are required and certified at the time of the product release. Since O/S vendors keep updating their patches/patchsets, customers should use either the certified requirements, or get the latest patch/patch sets from O/S vendors. If for any reason a newer patch/patchset causes the product to fail, customers should revert back to certified (documented) patches and contact the O/S vendor and Oracle support for resolution.

O/S Information:

The vendors guarantee operating system binary compatability, therefore, no reinstall or relink of the Oracle software is required when upgrading the operating system unless specifically stated otherwise.

E-Business Suite Information:

Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i has been certified with Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2.0.2) for use of Oracle Internet Directory, Single Sign-On, Portal, Discoverer, Web Cache, and Oracle Integration.
The certified architecture supports the deployment of Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2.0.2) on a stand-alone server or in a separate ORACLE_HOME on an existing server, connecting to one or more Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i instances.

Oracle Developer Suite Information:

Oracle Developer Suite 10g is only certified to work with the corresponding version of Oracle Application Server 10g.

Oracle Application Server Discoverer Information:

If you use 9.0.2.53 or higher, there is no need to update EUL to use Oracle Application Server Discoverer 9.0.4. See FAQ (section 5,6) on OTN.
