来自加州的全方位创作白人歌手Robin，自小在娱乐圈环境下长大，母亲是著名歌手/演员Gloria Loring，父亲则是著名电视演员Alan Thicke。跟随父母脚步的Robin在12-3岁期间客串演出戏剧节目，但总觉得这不是他想追求的未来；接著转战音乐领域，以16岁年纪签入附属 Interscope旗下之Nu America Records厂牌，优异的创作才华广及多方领域，乐坛数一数二畅销歌手如：亚瑟小子、克莉丝汀、马克安东尼、白兰蒂、美雅、布莱恩麦肯奈特、罗南…等人，都唱过他的歌。
2002年个人专辑《Cherry Blue Skies》，首支取样Walter Murphy 1976年全美流行榜冠军曲＜A Fifth Of Beethoven＞，改编贝多芬第五号命运交响曲，顿时吸引全球乐迷注意，登上澳洲Top17+比利时Top15+意大利Top15+新西兰Top8+ 荷兰Top5位置，翌年更改专辑名称《A Beautiful World》并加收歌曲重新问世，於全美卖出近六万张销售成绩。
2005年结束帮威尔史密斯畅销单曲＜Switch＞混音的工作后，Robin转籍Star Trak旗下筹备第二张专辑《The Evolution Of Robin Thicke》，除了亲自负责大部份词曲创作与制作，还邀请Pro-Jay(风尚乐团、亚瑟小子、克莉丝汀)助阵操盘。首支单曲＜Wanna Love U Girl＞交由当红超级组合The Neptunes (布兰妮、贾斯汀、史奴比狗狗)操刀，灵魂放克声频穿绕其中，介於史提夫汪达与杰米罗奎尔的音线触感，加上菲董饶舌片段谱入，是首热闹愉悦的首选佳作；请来90年代节奏蓝调第一夫人Faith Evans美声合唱开场曲＜Got 2 Be Down＞，默契十足的合唱迭音与Robin真假音漂亮转换，一首灵韵浓厚的动人之作；曾在纽奥良饶舌团体Hot Boys展现天赋的Lil’ Wayne，在＜All Night Long＞一曲中发挥派对男孩能事，挑起舞动感正点节拍；＜Everything I Can’t Have＞燃烧拉丁爵士鼓动气氛，营造出一场小型嘉年华会音场，并惊艳於Robin优游旋律中的曼妙佳音。
